What we do
Build an engineering allowance into your proposal early. Roof assessment, array frame certification and pallet-load assessment are separate services: select the work your project needs.
Solar Ready covers:
- Roof mount
- Array frames
- Ground mount
- Carports
Choose the assessments your project needs:
- Roof area inspection. An inspector records the roof and building details. Complete the pre-inspection checklist before a site visit is booked.
- Structural roof assessment. Assess the existing roof structure for the additional loads from the proposed solar array.
- Site-specific array frame certification. Check the proposed frame, panels and fixings for the roof type and site. The certification sets out assessed fixing spacings and roof loads.
- Pallet-load assessment. Assess the proposed pallet weights and nominated roof areas for temporary panel storage. Structural building drawings are required.
- Design compliance certification. Include the state, territory or project compliance document confirmed for the agreed scope. Examples may include Reg 126, Form 15 or PS1 where applicable.
- Seismic assessment. Assess seismic loads on the proposed array and its fixings. This service requires site-specific array frame certification.
Why assess early? When roof records or fixing details are missing, the engineering scope may need to account for uncertainty. A site-specific assessment gives the proposal clearer structural information. Capacity and any further work depend on the building and agreed scope.
How it works
Confirm the inputs
We identify the drawings, roof records and mounting details needed for the assessment.
Budget the work
You receive a quote identifying the selected services, required information and any extra costs.
Receive the installation documents
You receive the certification and fixing requirements for the assessed solar arrangement.
How to get a price
Put an engineering allowance in your budget before committing to the solar project.
Use the published price bands to estimate the selected services. Enter the proposed system size for each building and select the work you need.
For ground mount, carports or other arrangements, send the proposal so Gamcorp can confirm the scope and price.
Open pricing calculatorWhat is included and what costs extra?
- The estimate covers only the selected services, buildings and sizes. Roof assessment, array frame certification and supporting assessments are separate selections.
- Design compliance certification is charged once per site when selected.
- GST is excluded. Elevated work platform hire and travel beyond 100 km return from the nearest Gamcorp base are charged at cost plus 10% when required.
- The calculator’s limits are 499 kW per building for installers and 2,499 m² per building for owners. Larger projects need a separate scope.
- Agree any strengthening, layout changes, further visits or completed-installation checks in the quote.
Gamcorp confirms the scope, exclusions and quote before work proceeds.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Roof inspection | $950 | $1,650 | $1,650 | $2,600 |
| Structural roof assessment certification | $950 | $1,500 | $2,100 | $2,800 |
| Site-specific array frame certification | $1,100 | $1,100 | $1,900 | $1,900 |

| Pallet-load assessment | $1,000 | $1,000 | $2,000 | $3,000 |
Design compliance certification: $500 once per site when selected with another service.
For projects above 499 kW per building, ask Gamcorp to confirm a separate scope and price.
How to get started
Start with the information you have:
- Site address, contact and proposed system size for each building
- Structural drawings, roof photographs and available inspection records
- Array layout, mounting and fixing details, plus proposed pallet weights and locations
