Celebrating 50 Years

What we do

Bring structural questions forward, before the solar proposal is final. We check the roof, mounting and installation loads within your agreed scope.

Solar Ready covers:

  • Roof mount
  • Array frames
  • Ground mount
  • Carports
  • For installers. Site-specific certification, fixing requirements and loads for the assessed arrangement.
  • For building owners. Roof findings and constraints to inform installer proposals and any further design.
  • For manufacturers and suppliers. Structural assessment and certification for roof-mount and ground-mount solar products. Explore product certification ↗

How it works

  1. Check the available information

We identify the roof records, inspection details and proposed solar information needed for your assessment.

  2. Get a clear quote

You receive a scope and quote using the applicable price bands, with extras identified.

  3. Receive your solar engineering documents

Installers receive mounting requirements and certification; owners receive roof findings to inform solar proposals.

How to get a price

Put an engineering allowance in your budget before committing to the solar project.

Use the published price bands to estimate the selected services. Enter the proposed system size for each building and select the work you need.

Installers price by system size; building owners price by roof area. For ground mount, carports or other arrangements, send the proposal so Gamcorp can confirm the scope and price.

What is included and what costs extra?
  • The estimate covers only the selected services, buildings and sizes. Roof assessment, array frame certification and supporting assessments are separate selections.
  • Design compliance certification is charged once per site when selected.
  • GST is excluded. Elevated work platform hire and travel beyond 100 km return from the nearest Gamcorp base are charged at cost plus 10% when required.
  • The calculator’s limits are 499 kW per building for installers and 2,499 m² per building for owners. Larger projects need a separate scope.
  • Agree any strengthening, layout changes, further visits or completed-installation checks in the quote.

Gamcorp confirms the scope, exclusions and quote before work proceeds.

How to get started

Start with the information you have:

  • Site address and whether you are an installer or building owner
  • Available structural drawings and photographs of the roof and its supports
  • For installers: proposed solar layout, mounting details and planned panel storage

Tell us what is missing. We can confirm the next information needed.

Start your project

The checklist helps you gather documents; it does not send an enquiry.

Common questions

Does my roof need assessing before solar?

A roof assessment can help establish what the building can support before you finalise a solar proposal. Gamcorp reviews the available records and confirms whether an inspection or further design is needed.

What does a Solar Ready certificate cover?

It documents the engineering scope agreed for the proposed solar arrangement. Depending on your quote, this may include roof assessment, array frame certification, fixing requirements or pallet-load assessment. The certificate applies to the assessed scope.

Do I need a final panel layout before contacting Gamcorp?

No. Start with the site address, available roof records and your planning stage. The proposed layout and mounting details help confirm the assessment scope as they become available.

Can you assess panel pallets stored on the roof?

Yes. Pallet-load assessment can be scoped as a separate service. Share the pallet weights and proposed storage locations so Gamcorp can confirm what information is needed.
